Who is Crisis Management Systems Inc. ?
This website domain is owned by the parent company Crisis Management Systems Inc. (CMS Inc.) Our business started in 1991 in San Francisco, CA as a safety and disaster preparedness training and consulting business.

In 1995 we added this site and called it SafetyStore.com to sell a few products but we kept our company name. At that time we didn't know that we would become pioneers in safety and disaster response products on the Internet. We now operate many websites that provide different mixes of products and services for our customers with specialized needs. Because of our training and "real-world" experience in disaster management and emergency care, we continue to provide practical information and insight for our customers as we did when we were a "purely" consulting and training company.

Do you set up accounts?
In order to keep our prices competitive and the ability to customized products to the needs of our customers unique needs, we are unable to provide our customers financing with terms and accounts. Business credit cards offer companies and governement agencies the ability for terms and most groups use them. We are happy to discuss any payment issues directly with your account manager.

You can send us a P.O. and we will convert the Information into an Invoice and quickly send it back for your accounting department to issue a check.

We accept a variety of ways for payment including: Credit cards, Check, money order, EFT and International Wire Transfer.

Do you have a retail store?
This is a question we get often. We no longer have a retail store. It was in San Francisco, many years ago. We moved to Virginia in 2001 to an area that is too small for a conventional retail store.
Do you have a paper catalog?
No. Our full selection of products is too broad to interest anyone. No one wants a 500 page catalog when your interest is on 2-3 items.

We have plans to build a PDF catalog for free download. In the meantime you can select Categories or specific products and click the print feature in your computer to get a hard copy. This saves having to charge extra to cover the cost of mailing catalogs. (on average $5-$8 per copy)

Do you have Dealers that might except P.O.s
Yes, with qualifications. For certain orders (e.g. vest, or other larger projects)In which your agency has no other way to pay but with a P.O. we may be able to reffer you to one of our dealers.

When referring you to a Dealer understand the following:

  • Our company quotes for products are based upon prepayment by check, EFT or Credit Card. The Dealer shall not be expected nor held to match any quote or invoice from our company or family of websites.
  • These referrals are to independent dealers that are free to quote, charge or offer payment terms as they see fit.
  • Please be mindful of any deadlines your company or agency has for the use of these products (drills, grant commitments etc.) while you are securing terms. Your order will only begin once acknowledgement has been received from our Dealer to proceed with processing, fabrication and fulfillment. Vest orders typically take 2-3 weeks to create plus shipping time to the end users. 
I need titled vests on a tight deadline, what do you keep in-stock to ship today.
We offer the widest selection and best quality "USA Made" ICS vests in the nation. People come to us because we have the following:

  • 6 fabric colors,
  • Over 160 different Standard titles plus we create over 200 custom titles to meet unique needs of our customers
  • We create vests to match the most popular emergency systems including: ICS, HAZMAT, NIMS. SEMS, HEICS, HICS, EMS, and CERT.
  • Accessory choices of a 2 different note pockets, radio holster, 3 reflective tape colors etc.

Because of the all these vest variations, we do not keep our completed vests "on the shelf". All orders are custom made. If you have a short deadline for your vests, contact us and we will do our best to help you meet your schedule. Because of shipping services, production schedules and other issues, we cannot guarantee delivery to meet every deadline. Also, as these are custom made products built to meet your requirements we will not refund a returned order because it did not make your drill or other deadline. Of course any vest or kit that was made incorrectly would be replaced or repaired at our cost. Our hard wearing products will last for years of service after the drill that prompted its purchase.
